Despite the "wisdom" and foolishness of the world, God has made perfect Salvation simple. "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13). Your salvation experience is the beginning of your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The steps to salvation are as simple as "A.B.C."
A relationship with Jesus Christ begins with your admission that you need God. You must admit you need God to do three things:
Confessing Jesus as Lord means to commit total control of your life to Christ. You give him the ownership of your life. He becomes your new boss. If you confess Jesus as Lord of your life, the Bible says you will be saved.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9-10).
The following prayer is one you can say right now to confess Jesus as Lord and ask Him to save you:
Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.
Scripture Promise if you have accepted Christ:
"And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:11-13 ).
If you prayed the above prayer or one like it for the first time, please let us know so we can rejoice with you, pray for you, and help support you as you enter your New Life in Christ! It is important for you to get connected to a local church and let somebody begin to help you in your growth process. We would love to personally invite you to come this Sunday and join us and while you are here share with us your decision.
It is also important to take the very first step that Jesus asks us to take once we have recieved Him into our lives as Lord and Savior. That step is believers baptism. Baptism is a wonderful testimony that you are able to give to others that gives a beautiful picture of your new birth in Christ. We would love the honor of witnessing your baptism. Again if you have made a decision to follow Christ, let us know so we can rejoice with you, pray for you, and help support you as you enter your new life in Christ.
